5x5 FUNDRAISER

THERE WILL BE A LIMIT OF 5 ARTWORKS PER PERSON TO MAXIMIZE ACCESS.

Back in January, I started planning a fundraiser to mark the upcoming three year anniversary of Troppus Projects. The intention was to raise money to help support the space and its mission while actively engaging people, seeking local and broader community participation.

A lot has happened since then and to be honest, I haven’t been exactly sure how to move forward as an art space, or even as an individual in these times. That said, one of the things I’ve remained certain of is that we do need to move forward... to keep going.

And so, the 5x5 fundraiser to benefit Troppus Projects will go on, perhaps more necessarily than ever, but not as planned. This is how it will work...

All donated 5x5 artworks will be exhibited both in the space and online throughout the month of June. In an effort to recognize the importance of equity and access, artworks can be claimed with a minimum donation of $5 + the option to “pay what you want”. 100% of proceeds will go toward the operational costs of Troppus Projects and its mission.

Additionally, a limited edition of 5x5 “DON’T BE NEUTRAL” prints will be available with a minimum donation of $5 + the option to “pay what you want”. 100% of those proceeds will be donated to the Black Lives Matter organization.

Tremendous thanks to everyone who has participated in making art for this and to everyone who will be purchasing/donating. It is my feeling that we need to take more responsibility for building and changing our world by way of sharing our time, our talents, our money, our voices, and whatever priviledges we have. We need to actively support and sustain the things that make us better.
